Health and Fitness has always been a part of my life, and in my 40’s I enjoyed
being a fitness instructor, personal trainer and health coach, until a permanent job in a large organization not only lured me away from fitness it lured me into a world of travel and adventure! February of 2020, I did a 28 day yoga challenge and suddenly realized how much I enjoy the practice and missed making health and fitness a part of my daily routine! Once COVID hit and the opportunity to cease traveling and work from home hit, I found myself immediately turning back to yoga and daily fitness. As a mother of two boys – a sophomore in college and junior in high school I know what a busy and filled world life can be. With a full time career that takes me around the world in any given month I also know the importance of finding time for ourselves in a demanding and ever changing world. I look forward to being with you on your journey. |

My yoga journey began 20 years ago when a local health club started offering yoga. When it came to exercise, I was always in the mindset of “no pain, no gain!” As age and injuries happened, I started to add more and more yoga classes to my schedule.
I practiced yoga as often as I could take a class! What started out as just another physical challenge soon became so much more! I learned that yoga is a practice for not only the body, but the mind and spirit as well! In 2007, I attended teacher training at the former Midwest Power Yoga in Appleton, WI. I have studied Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga. After becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher, I opened my own studio in Plymouth, Wisconsin and created area programs for cancer survivors, teachers and local athletes. Over time, I sold my studio (and am happy to report, it is still a successful business) and went back to my favorite thing to do-teach yoga. Which leads me to our next chapter… After raising our two children and 14 years of teaching yoga, my husband and I sold our home in Plymouth and moved to our cottage in Weyauwega in 2020. We love Waupaca County and are looking forward to enjoying everything outside that we can. I believe everyone and anyone can do yoga! The physical benefits of strength, flexibility and balance are complimented with the mental and spiritual benefits of calmness, acceptance and awareness. |

Hmm...what would you like to know about me? Well, I love pizza, traveling, laughing, writing, coffee dates, reading, being outside, deep conversations, the sky, being kind, growing, and yoga of course!
I've been practicing yoga now for 4 years but received my 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate in 2020 with a speciality in Kriya yoga. What is Kriya yoga, you ask? Come to my yoga class to find out! ;) I love yoga because it helps me to feel like myself and cultivate the uniqueness that I am. I love that it magically brings like-minded souls together. It always leaves me feeling full of life - grounded, connected, and alive! I can't wait to meet you at one of my classes. I can promise that you will laugh, feel loved, and be connected to an amazing community! |

Even though I have always been a very active person, I was that person who said, 'I'm not flexible. I can't do yoga.' My friend suggested that we go - and for her, I said, 'OK.' I didn't really enjoy it - it was so hard for me! I felt so great after class though, that I went back. The feeling that I have after I leave my mat has kept me going back for over 10 years.
My yoga journey has taught and continues to teach me so much about myself. I has helped me get through some very tough times. One of the greatest lessons I have learned is 'How you respond on your mat is how you respond off your mat.' I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in July 2020 through Yoga Hive Wisconsin. I hope to give my students a mind/body experience that will enrich every part of their lives. |

My yoga journey began in June 2009 when my neighbor invited me to join her for yoga class. I had wanted to attend a class for quite some time, but found myself nervous and loaded down with excuses. I was not connected to my body or grounded in my heart. After that first class, I joyfully returned three times a week feeling lighter, stronger, more balanced and more grounded with each visit. My body began to change, as did my relationships with my family and my very self - all for the better. I am certified in Power Vinyasa Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Reiki healing. I consistently find connection to my way of being in this world through my own practices of each.
Within my yoga, meditation and Reiki practices, I connect and engage with an endless supply of tools to create possibility and guidance for my life. I share those practices with you during class and Reiki sessions. The lessons you learn in your energetic practices will become part of your life. Unload your excuses for not taking time to care for yourself. Find places and times to practice, find openness and find the gifts. You are always warmly welcome! |

"What can I say about myself that would give you a glimpse of who I am? I love my husband, he’s my favorite. I Love my two boys, they are my greatest accomplishment. I love art and color. I love friends and laughter. I live to form strong connections with people. I’m an eternal optimist. I love sunshine. I love swimming but not boating, and I love yoga.
I didn’t ever think that yoga was for me until I tried a yoga class on the “Daily Burn” fitness app. I couldn’t believe the difference it made, I felt lighter, I felt strong. I was hooked. As I continued, I tried new classes on apps and YouTube. I had never taken a class live or in a studio until I signed up for my Yoga Teacher Training in the spring of 2020 through Yoga Hive. I was surprised by how much I was drawn to the anatomy of it, the muscles used, and discovering that slight adjustments can be the entire difference in how a pose feels in your body. I love how empowered I feel on my yoga mat. Finding the mix of being in complete control of every part of my body while letting myself be free from all expectations has got to be my favorite thing about yoga. If I can share that with anyone else that practices with me, I will count it a success." |

I first came to yoga for the physical benefits of regaining strength after a 5-year medical crisis while actively engaging with people again to create my new normal. As I became stronger and healthier physically, not to mention more connected spiritually, I ultimately discovered that my yoga mat was a place to find a sense of
peace, contentment and belonging. When I made the choice to enroll in teacher training my hope was to share my years as a personal trainer with people but more importantly, I wanted to share with others how they can also uncover their individual strength and courage to travel their own arduous journey through life. As a teacher, I understand firsthand there is never a one size fits all practice, every person is on their own path in their own time, making modifications for their body and honoring their mind and spirit. I experience deep personal joy, satisfaction and inspiration watching students blossom into the people they were meant to be and assisting them in that process. |

My husband was at work, my young daughter was snoring away in her bed. As my monkey mind chased every possible road of every thought that came to mind, I somehow stumbled on a Yoga With Adrienne video on YouTube. Having no idea what I was in for, I told myself, 'This is dumb - but I'm doing it anyway.' So, I grabbed a few pillows off the sofa and a blanket from the trunk and I proceeded to take my first ever 60-minute yoga class from the comfort of my living room. Five minutes in and I was hooked. This class changed my life forever. Somehow, it cracked my shell and began to pull me out of a funk I had been in for at least a year. Not only did I know I wanted more, I also knew I needed to know how to teach people how to do this yoga thing. I wish for the life of me that I could remember exactly which class it was that I took so I could take this class again and again! Fast-forward a few years - I've not stopped learning and growing through my yoga journey since that first time pressing play.
I'm a firm believer that everyone should have a meditation practice and I look forward to helping you to start or grow your meditation experience. I have found that a solid meditation practice has elevated my love of gentle, yin, restorative and yoga nidra styles of yoga. The slow, supported movements coupled with pranayama and Kriya breathwork practices are my happy place, allowing me to create space within to encourage calm and grounding on and off my mat. Aside from yoga, I love the water, dogs, tacos, creating, REO Speedwagon & hanging with my family. |
MASSAGE THERAPY
KATE
Well...I was born in upstate NY on a dairy farm, where I learned from my parents the value of hard work and a dedication to one's life work. For the past 8 years, my life work has been as a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling my children. My oldest daughter found an ad online for Sheer Blue, seeking a part-time massage therapist. I was sure the studio was located in Fremont, CA...but no!...it was in Fremont, WI. My kids (now older) encouraged me to apply, knowing how passionate I am about massage therapy. So, here I am!
My massage therapy career began in 1999 after graduating from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. Over the past 20 years, I have worked in various settings including wellness centers, physical therapy clinics, chiropractic offices & salons. After moving to WI in 2007, I had a private practice, 'Well-Being', located in Waupaca. I closed in 2013 to recover from injury and raise my children. I really enjoy working to address problematic areas of the body. Almost all of my continuing education since 2004 has been in the field of Myofascial Release (MFR). MFR is a specialized form of massage that seeks to address the fascia, or connective tissue system of the body, to release restrictions that cause pain and dysfunction. It truly has been amazing to see the changes that MFR can facilitate. Our bodies are wonderfully made, and when given a chance, the healing that can occur is often times beyond what we can even imagine or expect to happen. I thank God for the many blessings in my life, the gift of His Holy Spirit to guide and direct and an opportunity to share the skills He has given me in the area of massage. I'll look forward to meeting you! |
SOUND MASSAGE
MAGGIE
I am a practitioner of Sound Massage, a coffee lover, an avid quilter, and a yoga devotee. Sound massage is another tool in the world of health promotion, stress reduction, holistic health, and disease prevention. Through a series of gentle tappings, the sound and vibration encourages the body to release stress and come into harmony. A body in harmony is the framework for health. Four bowls are placed on the body, each one correlates to different organs in the body. I have performed energy work and healing for over 40 years as an RN, Certified Nurse Midwife, Reiki Master, and Nurse Educator. In 2016, I completed certification as a Peter Hess Sound Massage Practitioner. Sound massage is fairly new to the United States. It comes to us from Germany, where it is a trusted modality. Come in and experience this unique method of assisting the body to heal through sound and vibration.
